What a summer it’s been at Furnish Office & Home!
As the sun sets on another busy season of outfitting local workspaces, dorms, and home offices, we’ve been reflecting on how grateful we are for the incredible support of our Twin Cities community. One of the biggest highlights of the past few months? Having the opportunity to share our mission on live television with two major local news stations!

Turning the Spotlight on Sustainability With Fox 9
Earlier this summer, we sat down with reporter Hannah Flood on Fox 9 to talk all about green commerce and the power of the reuse economy. We had a blast discussing how easy it is to skip the long lead times of retail shopping by choosing high-quality, commercial-grade furniture. Plus, we were thrilled to participate in Hennepin County’s annual Salvage Crawl, even donating a power standing desk to help get local shoppers energized about sustainable living!
Diving Deep into Impact With WCCO
Just this month, our leadership team headed into the WCCO-TV studio for a live segment with hosts Heather Brown and AJ Hilton/ We got to bring a few showroom favorites into the studio to talk about:
Why commercial office furniture is discarded so frequently during business moves, and how we reclaim it.
How local startups, remote workers, and college-bound students can save 70% to 80% off top brands like Herman Miller and Steelcase.
How every single desk, chair, and table sold at Furnish directly funds EMERGE Community Development’s job training and workforce programs.

Being featured on Fox 9 and WCCO wasn't just exciting for our team, it was a crucial opportunity to tell the story of the circular economy in Minnesota. Millions of pounds of commercial waste end up in landfills every year simply because businesses don't realize there’s a better way.
By sharing our "full-circle" model — in which our sister enterprise, Second Chance Removal, clears out corporate spaces, and Furnish gets many of those pieces back into the hands of the community — we’re helping more Minnesotans make choices that benefit their budgets, the planet, and their neighbors.
